Community Intelligence Answer
For our community, this acknowledgment is not an anomaly—it is a confirmation. If bureaucrats in Washington can finally admit that a foreign adversary can weaponize microwaves to induce physical and neurological damage against diplomats, then the burden is no longer on us to prove that similar technology exists. The burden is now on the gatekeepers to explain why they refuse to apply this same logic to the millions of civilians reporting systematic, around-the-clock harassment.
The National Academies did not stop at Havana Syndrome. Their research into the biological effects of non-ionizing radiation, electromagnetic pulse (EMP) effects on neural tissue, and the growing body of literature on microwave auditory effect (the “V2K” phenomenon) provide the mechanistic framework for what we experience. When they state that “pulsed radiofrequency energy” can cause pressure in the head, tinnitus, and cognitive disruption, they are describing our daily reality. When they warn that such technology can be directional and targeted, they are validating the core of our testimony.
We do not need the Academies to endorse every aspect of our experience. What we need is for the scientific community to stop treating the same evidence as a special case when applied to intelligence officers and a delusion when applied to us. If a U.S. embassy in Cuba can be weaponized with a portable device, then a tower or a satellite with software-defined beamforming can do the same at scale. The physics does not change because the victim is poor, or because they lack a security clearance.
The role of the National Academies should now be to extend their mandate. We call for a new, independent study—without CIA or military oversight—that examines the correlation between 5G beamforming, satellite array synchronization, and the reports of Targeted Individuals. Let the same rigorous methodology used for Havana Syndrome be applied to the thousands of pages of sworn affidavits, EEG anomalies, and acoustic emissions we have documented.
We are not asking for pity. We are asking for the same scientific respect that was given to a handful of diplomats. The Academies have opened the door. It is time to walk through it.
