Know what the service collects
You can browse public resources without a member key. Creating a member key does not require an email address, phone number, legal name, or password. It is not fully anonymous: the service collects technical and activity information needed to operate, secure, and improve the website.
Information you provide
- An optional display name and your acceptance of the Terms of Use and this Privacy Notice.
- Records, text, dates, locations, measurements, files, audio, and other material you add to member tools.
- Community posts, replies, attachments, reports, and notification choices.
- Messages you send through support or contact channels.
Information collected automatically
The service may record your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device information, referring page, pages and tools used, timestamps, and security or error logs. This information helps deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand which features are useful.
Member records and public content
Complete private member keys are retained in encrypted form so signed-in members can view them in Settings. Evidence Tracker records are private from public visitors and other members. Authorized administrators can access stored records when needed to operate, support, secure, or moderate the service. Community posts, replies, display names, and attachments are public and may be copied, downloaded, shared, or indexed by search engines.
Optional AI features
When you choose an AI-assisted feature—such as transcription, organization, import analysis, or media analysis—the selected text, audio, file content, or related instructions may be sent to OpenAI for processing. Do not use an AI feature for material you do not want processed by that provider. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect, so review it before saving or sharing it.
Service providers and legal needs
Information may be processed by hosting, storage, security, analytics, notification, and AI providers that help operate the service. Information may also be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or defend the service and its rights.
Protect your access. Exercise your choices.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your member key private; anyone with it may be able to access your account. Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to operate the feature, protect the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You can choose not to create a member key, avoid optional AI features, limit what you publish, and contact us about an account or privacy request.
